The Real Fyre G31-18/20 Burner is designed to create a bold, dramatic fire while maintaining efficiency in a vent-free fireplace. Its three-tiered burner design delivers tall, full-bodied flames that rival a traditional wood fire, yet it uses fewer BTUs than comparable vented burners. At 18–20 inches, this system is a strong fit for mid-size fireboxes, producing up to 55,000 BTUs with natural gas or 40,000 BTUs with propane.

This burner is engineered for use with the Mountain Crest Oak and Mountain Crest Split Oak log sets, both exclusive to the G31. It is also compatible with several of Real Fyre’s Charred Series gas logs, giving you flexibility in achieving your preferred look. A porcelainized reflective front panel enhances flame depth, creating the effect of a larger ember bed while maximizing the visual impact of the fire.

Control options include everything from simple match-lit (natural gas only) setups to advanced electronic systems. Choices range from manual valves with standing pilot (-A) to remote-controlled ignition with intermittent pilot (-2VT, -02) or millivolt standing pilot (-17). With its compact footprint and multi-level flame presentation, the G31-18/20 burner blends performance, versatility, and the craftsmanship customers expect from RH Peterson and Real Fyre.

Match Lit

Match lit burners are available in natural gas only. They are lit by turning the gas flow on with your key valve and tossing a match or an equivalent flame source near the burners gas supply. You can control the flame height by adjusting your key valve.

Manual Valve Standing Pilot

This features a safety pilot light that is lit and remains on constantly. To turn on the burner, you would turn the control knob to allow for a heavier gas flow. This knob can also be used to control the flame height.

Basic on/off remote

This control type includes a safety pilot, a remote and a remote receiver. The remote has the ability to turn the flame on and off while keeping the pilot lit. There is no way to adjust the flame height in intervals.

Basic on/off Remote Variable Flame

This control type includes a safety pilot, a remote and a remote receiver. The remote has the ability to turn the flame on and off while keeping the pilot lit. Both the remote and the knobs on the valve can adjust the flame height.

Basic on/off RemoteLow Profile, Variable Flame

The only differences between this control type and Basic On/Off Remote, Variable Flame is that it is smaller and lower to the ground, and does not include a decorative cover.

Basic on/off RemoteElectric, Variable Flame

This features a non standing pilot with electric ignition. The pilot is ignited electrically via the remote, which then ignites the burner. When it is lit, the pilot goes out. The remote and remote receiver are battery operated, and there is no way to adjust the flame height.

Basic on/off RemoteElectronic, Variable Flame

The only difference between this control type and Electric Basic On/Off Remote is that the flame height is controllable via the remote.
